Cassis: Switzerland and Qatar remain committed to diplomatic solutions and mediation
Swiss Vice President Ignazio Cassis assessed bilateral relations and regional developments with Qatar, emphasizing both countries’ commitment to mediation and diplomacy.
Cassis made remarks regarding bilateral relations and areas of cooperation with Qatar. He stated that the two countries share a common approach, particularly in the fields of mediation, dialogue, and “good offices” missions.
The statement emphasized that Switzerland and Qatar have a strong commitment to supporting diplomatic methods in resolving international issues. Cassis also noted that views were exchanged on regional developments following the agreement signed between the United States and Iran.
Thanking Qatar for its mediation efforts, Cassis stated that Switzerland is also ready to support initiatives aimed at reducing tensions, promoting stability, and achieving lasting peace.
