Damascus, June 30 (Hibya) - Turkish Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi held talks with Syrian officials in Damascus on security, migration, and disaster management.

Çiftçi stated that the meetings in Damascus strengthened the shared historical ties and bonds of brotherhood. He said he discussed security, border management, migration, and voluntary return processes with Anas Khattab.
He also announced that he signed a "Memorandum of Cooperation on Disaster and Emergency Management" with Raed Al-Saleh.
Çiftçi added that he was received by Ahmed al-Sharaa during his visit and conveyed the greetings of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Emphasizing the significance of the visit, Çiftçi said: "We left Damascus with our heartfelt bonds strengthened, our belief in our brotherhood reinforced, and our hopes for our shared future growing stronger. May God bless every step we take and keep our brotherhood everlasting."
