Dar held a phone call with his Indonesian counterpart Sugiono
Islamabad, January 5 (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishak Dar and Indonesia’s Foreign Minister Sugiono discussed bilateral relations, the situation in Somalia, and peace efforts in Gaza during a phone call.
According to a statement by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishak Dar announced that he held a phone call with Indonesia’s Foreign Minister Sugiono following his arrival in Islamabad.
During the call, the current state of relations between the two countries and cooperation on international platforms came to the fore.
The ministers reviewed the state of Pakistan–Indonesia relations and exchanged views on cooperation in multilateral forums, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The statement added: “They also discussed current global developments, including developments in Somalia and efforts toward achieving lasting peace in Gaza, and agreed to remain in close contact on these matters.”
