Dendias met with UK Defence Secretary Heappey
Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias met with UK Defense Secretary James Heappey in London.
Greek Defense Minister Dendias stated that he met with UK Defense Secretary Heappey in London and said, "We discussed ways to address common challenges such as the situation in Ukraine, the Middle East, and the Red Sea within the framework of our ongoing defense relations."
Dendias reported that during the meeting, it was discussed that Greece will continue to protect free shipping in cooperation with its allies and partners and ensure the safety of sailors, and reported discussing a potential grant of mine detection vessels from the UK to Greece.
