Denmark and Greenland request crisis talks with the U.S.
Copenhagen, January 7 (Hibya) — According to Danish broadcaster DR, Denmark and Greenland want to arrange a meeting in the near future with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
According to the report, the governments of Denmark and Greenland have contacted the U.S. Department of State to set up a meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Greenland’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Research, Vivian Motzfeldt, says the meeting would take place between Rubio, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen and herself.
Motzfeldt said the meeting will focus on “important U.S. statements regarding Greenland”.
