Estonian Foreign Minister Tsahkna made a statement on his social media account on the 32nd anniversary of the departure of the last Russian troops from Estonia.

Tsahkna said, “Thirty-two years ago, the last Russian troops left Estonian territory, and we fully secured our independence.”

Stating that Russia's imperial project had failed, Tsahkna argued that Russia's ambitions continue despite the passage of three decades. He claimed that the full-scale attack on Ukraine is evidence of the Kremlin's attempt to seize territory that does not belong to it.

Tsahkna said sovereignty and territorial integrity form the foundation of the international order, adding that Ukraine continues to defend these principles and should be supported at every stage.

The Estonian foreign minister said, “Russia cannot shape the international order according to its own will. The era of imperial privilege is over.”
