EU High Representative Borrell: Putin shows no interest in peace
Rome, November 26 (Hibya) – European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs Josep Borrell stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin shows no interest in peace.
Borrell noted that Ukraine was on the agenda of the G7 meeting held in the Italian capital, Rome.
Borrell stated that Ukraine must be able to defend itself not only from the “arrows” falling on its territory but also by targeting the “bows” from which they are launched. He added, “We also need to prevent the circumvention of sanctions.”
Borrell emphasized that Putin is not interested in peace, saying, “Supporting Ukraine is not only a demonstration of the European Union’s generosity but also our strategic interest.”
