The 2024 FDI World Dental Congress, co-hosted by the FDI World Dental Federation and the Turkish Dental Association, and with Hibya News Agency as the media sponsor, will take place between September 12-15 at the Istanbul Congress Center (ICC) and the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar International Congress and Exhibition Palace (ICEC).

Having been held more than 110 times so far, the FDI World Dental Congress aims to advance the science and practice of dentistry through a pioneering scientific program, interactive forums on current dental topics, and a comprehensive industry exhibition.

The FDI World Dental Congress recognized as the largest event in its field, will feature a scientific program, interactive forums discussing the most current topics in dentistry, and an exhibition with the participation of key figures from the dental industry. This year’s highlights include:

Being held in Turkey for the first time in 11 years, the congress is considered an important part of continuing education opportunities for dentists worldwide, with ADA-CERP credits. The Young Dentists Forum also highlights the commitment to nurturing the next generation of dentists.

The congress will feature 279 expert speakers who will deliver lectures on the most critical topics in dentistry. It will also include ten meet-the-expert sessions and 28 interactive hands-on workshops.

Eleven years ago, the "Istanbul Declaration," which emphasized the connection between oral and general health, was adopted during the FDI World Dental Congress in Turkey. Through this declaration, FDI and its members called for expanding the scope of dental practice to improve the overall health and well-being of the communities they serve.

Under the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan, titled "Advocacy, Knowledge Exchange, and Innovation," the congress aims to realize FDI's vision of a world with optimal oral health for everyone.
