Fletcher: Chad has hosted 1.6 million refugees since 2023
New York, November 28 (Hibya) - UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher stated that Chad has hosted 1.6 million refugees since 2023, including 700,000 from Sudan.
UN Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Fletcher met with Chad's Prime Minister Allamaye Halina.
Fletcher highlighted that Chad has always demonstrated exemplary generosity by hosting 1.6 million refugees since 2023, including 700,000 from Sudan, and added: "We believe the international community owes them every kind of support."
