Fletcher: The world must stand behind the people of Myanmar
New York, April 5 (Hibya) – United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher stated that the world must stand behind the people of Myanmar following the earthquake in Mandalay.
Fletcher met with communities at the epicenter of the earthquake in Mandalay, Myanmar.
Emphasizing the scale of devastation, he said: “Lives lost. Homes destroyed. Livelihoods shattered. The UN is ready to help. The world must stand behind the people of Myanmar.”
