Fletcher: Trucks full of aid have finally resumed their journey
New York, May 22 (Hibya) – UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher said they are in close contact with teams in Gaza and that trucks carrying life-saving aid have finally hit the road again.
Fletcher stated: “Today will be very important. The trucks loaded with life-saving aid have finally resumed their journey.”
Expressing admiration for the courage of humanitarian workers, he added: “However, they continue to face major challenges in getting goods across the border to where they are needed. It’s critical, life-saving work.”
