Referring to the race against time and joint efforts on the ground, Fletcher said: "Every hour, every minute matters. We will save as many lives as possible. Our Urban Search and Rescue Coordination Cell in La Guaira is working alongside local authorities, the International US Search and Rescue Teams, and OCHA/UNDAC."
Emphasizing the purpose of these efforts, Fletcher stated: "A global humanitarian response to support the people of Venezuela."
