Kazakh delegation participated in the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Week
New York, June 30 (Hibya) - The Kazakh delegation participated in the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Week held in New York from June 26 to July 2.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, the Kazakh delegation actively participated in the United Nations Counter-Terrorism Week held in New York from June 26 to July 2.
During the High-Level Conference, Kazakhstan shared its experience in repatriating its citizens from conflict zones in Syria and Iraq.
The statement noted that one of the Kazakh women who had returned home drew particular attention when she addressed the audience from the United Nations podium as a special guest.
She recounted her return to Kazakhstan, the challenges she overcame, and her successful reintegration into society.
Throughout Counter-Terrorism Week, Kazakhstan also participated, together with other UN member states, in negotiations on the Outcome Document of the Ninth Review of the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, which will be adopted following the High-Level Conference.
