Foreign Ministry welcomes Malta's intention to recognize the State of Palestine
Ramallah, May 25 (Hibya) – The Palestinian Foreign Ministry welcomed Malta’s intention to recognize the State of Palestine.
The Palestinian Foreign Ministry welcomed the announcement by Maltese Prime Minister Robert Abela expressing his country's intention to recognize the State of Palestine in the near future.
The ministry stated that the decision, expected to be taken by Malta in June, reflects the depth of longstanding relations between the Palestinian and Maltese peoples, and expressed hope that other EU member states will follow this responsible step.
