German Chancellor Merz: We want lasting peace in Ukraine
Berlin, 14 December (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz received the delegations of Ukraine and the United States (US), saying, “There are difficult questions, but we are determined to move forward.”
German Chancellor Merz hosted the Ukrainian and US delegations at the Chancellery. The meeting addressed the situation in Ukraine and possible paths toward a solution.
Merz stated, “We want a lasting peace in Ukraine. There are difficult questions ahead of us, but we are determined to make progress.” He also emphasized that Ukraine’s interests are directly linked to Europe’s interests.
