German Foreign Minister Wadephul: Russia must end the war in Ukraine
New York, September 26 (Hibya) – German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said that, during the United Nations General Assembly, he told Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov that Russia must end the war in Ukraine and cease its hostile actions against Germany and its allies.
German Foreign Minister Wadephul issued a statement regarding his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during the United Nations General Assembly.
In a post on his social media account, Wadephul said he told Lavrov that Russia must end the war in Ukraine and cease its hostile actions against Germany and its allies.
Wadephul said Germany would pursue the path of diplomacy if Russia seriously engaged in negotiations for a sustainable peace.
