Ghebreyesus: 17 more patients evacuated from Gaza to Jordan for special medical treatment
Geneva, November 28 (Hibya) – World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus announced that 17 more patients from Gaza were evacuated to Jordan yesterday for special medical treatment.
WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus stated that 17 more patients from Gaza were evacuated to Jordan yesterday for special medical treatment, adding that 12 of them would continue receiving care in the United States.
Ghebreyesus noted that 6 patients required cancer treatment and 11 needed treatment for war injuries, and said:
“The patients were evacuated with 17 companions. We call for the use of all corridors from Gaza to ensure smooth and fast medical evacuations. Thousands of patients are still waiting for specialized medical care.”
