Ghebreyesus: I call on all parties to choose peace in this conflict
New York, October 3 (Hibya) - World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus made a statement regarding the events in Gaza.
Ghebreyesus stated: "66,000 people have been killed and around 170,000 injured in Gaza. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that at least one-quarter of the injured suffer from life-changing wounds requiring immediate and ongoing rehabilitation. The explosions causing these injuries are also destroying the health facilities and services needed to cope with them. I call on all parties to choose peace in this conflict."
