Portugal sends message of solidarity after earthquake in Venezuela
Lisbon, June 25 (Hibya) – The Portuguese Government issued a message of solidarity following the earthquake in Venezuela, stating that it is ready to coordinate with the authorities to provide humanitarian aid and assistance.
The Portuguese Government announced that it stands in solidarity with all the people of Venezuela, and especially with the Portuguese and Portuguese-descendant community living in the country, following the earthquake.
According to a statement by Portugal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic and consular missions have been in contact with local and national authorities, as well as diaspora organizations, since the first moments after the earthquake.
The statement expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, adding that Portugal is ready to provide emergency and humanitarian assistance in coordination with the Venezuelan authorities.
