Ghebreyesus met with German Foreign Ministry State Secretary Baumann
Geneva, 2 October (Hibya) – WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus met with German Foreign Ministry State Secretary Susanne Baumann.
WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus expressed his gratitude to State Secretary Susanne Baumann for the 8 million Euro contribution to the WHO Health Emergency Appeal.
Ghebreyesus stated that they both agreed on the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza and now in Lebanon, saying, "It is important to prevent further insecurity in the region".
He also highlighted that they discussed cooperation on current mpox and Marburg virus outbreaks.
