Ghebreyesus: WHO is giving extra attention to maternal and child health this year
Geneva, February 20 (Hibya) - The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, announced that this year, the organization is giving special attention to maternal and child health.
WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus emphasized that one of their priorities is eliminating the transmission of HIV and syphilis from mother to child, stating:
“Since 2015, we have helped 19 countries achieve this goal.”
