Istanbul, July 28 (Hibya) – Global markets opened the new trading day with a cautious tone, as selling pressure dominated U.S. index futures, commodities and cryptocurrency markets.

U.S. index futures traded lower. Dow Jones futures fell 0.04 percent to 52,362 points, while S&P 500 futures declined 0.28 percent to 7,427.25 points. Nasdaq futures dropped 0.82 percent to trade at 27,958.50 points.
Selling also continued in energy markets. U.S. crude oil fell 1.14 percent to $81.67, while the yield on the U.S. 10-year Treasury note stood at 4.63 percent after declining by 0.011 percentage points.
Precious metals also moved lower. Gold fell 0.71 percent to $4,047.90 per ounce, while silver declined 2.04 percent to $57.515. Copper lost 0.31 percent, platinum fell 1.13 percent and palladium declined 1.68 percent.
Selling pressure also persisted in the cryptocurrency market. Bitcoin fell 2.52 percent to $63,271.50, while Ethereum declined 3.64 percent to trade at $1,876.92. Solana lost 3.49 percent, XRP fell 3.33 percent and Dogecoin declined 2.67 percent.
Analysts said investors continue to closely monitor the global economic outlook and geopolitical developments, while macroeconomic data due later in the day could increase market volatility.
