Zelensky to meet Trump in the US
Washington, July 28 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he had arrived in the United States (US) and announced that during his meetings in Washington, he would meet US President Donald Trump, his team and figures capable of supporting Ukraine's defense.
Ukrainian President Zelensky announced that he had arrived in the US and would hold an intensive series of meetings in Washington.
In a statement on his social media account, Zelensky said, “I am already in the United States. The program includes meetings with President Trump, his team and people who can support our defense.”
Stating that the priority agenda items of his US visit were air and missile defense and strategic cooperation, Zelensky said, “Our number one priority is anti-ballistic defense and strategic cooperation with America. Peace must come closer.”
Zelensky also said that Lindsey Graham's memory would be honored on behalf of Ukraine at a ceremony in Washington, referring to Graham's work for security and freedom in the Euro-Atlantic region and other regions.
The Ukrainian leader thanked everyone supporting his country's defense and emphasized the importance of assistance aimed at protecting lives.
