Herzog: Forcible entry of civilians into Military Base is illegal and irresponsible
Jerusalem, July 30 (Hibya) - Israeli President Isaac Herzog said that the forcible entry of civilians into a base, especially when carried out with the encouragement and participation of elected officials, is a serious, dangerous, illegal, and irresponsible act.
Israeli President Herzog emphasized that the ethics of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and soldiers have always been a source of pride, adding: "Let us not forget that our enemies have repeatedly tried to harm us. In the field of international law, commanders, fighters, and elected officials should in no way justify such actions."
Herzog noted that the forcible entry of civilians into a base, especially when carried out with the encouragement and participation of elected officials, is a serious, dangerous, illegal, and irresponsible act: "First and foremost, this harms us as a people and as a nation. I call on everyone, especially elected officials, to show leadership, calm down, and act calmly."
