Herzog visits families of fallen soldiers
Jerusalem, June 2 (Hibya) - Israeli President Isaac Herzog visited the families of soldiers who lost their lives in clashes on the northern front and offered his condolences. Herzog stated that "we meet bereaved families almost every day," highlighting the scale of the losses suffered by the country.
Israeli President Herzog announced that he paid a condolence visit to the family of Sgt. Rotem Yanai. In a post shared on social media, Herzog said they face new reports of losses every day and meet with many bereaved families.
Herzog mentioned by name the soldiers who had lost their lives in recent weeks during clashes on the northern front, drawing attention to the deep pain caused by the growing number of casualties in the country. He emphasized that each family has its own unique story and profound grief.
The President stated that he and his wife, Michal Herzog, stand in solidarity with the families of the fallen soldiers and also conveyed wishes for recovery to soldiers wounded physically and psychologically. Herzog said that all of the fallen soldiers were among Israel’s finest sons and that their courage and sacrifice would never be forgotten.
The statement was made at a time when casualties continue to occur as a result of ongoing clashes along Israel’s northern border.
