Iranian FM Araghchi held phone call with Japanese counterpart
Tehran, June 10 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi held a telephone conversation with Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya.
During the call, Araghchi and Iwaya discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international developments.
Araghchi emphasized the Islamic Republic of Iran’s principled stance on defending its legitimate interests and the Iranian people's right to fully benefit from peaceful nuclear energy, including uranium enrichment.
The Iranian minister criticized the provocative and inappropriate actions of the US and three European countries, which submitted an anti-Iran resolution to the IAEA Board of Governors during indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States.
