Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Tajani stated that he wanted to meet with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha to reaffirm their steadfast support for Kyiv ahead of the G7 summit and to underline their determination to achieve a just and lasting peace.

Tajani emphasized their support for full integration into the Euro-Atlantic alliance.

Commenting on the meeting, Sybiha said, “I thanked Tajani for his hospitality and invitation to the G7 ministerial meeting. We appreciate Italy's leadership and continuous support. We discussed expanding defense cooperation, reducing threats posed by Russia, and Italy's role in Ukraine's recovery.”
