Kallas: Russia's attacks are deliberately causing civilian casualties
Brussels, July 24 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas stressed that Russia's attacks on Kyiv and other regions are deliberate and announced that new measures would be taken against Moscow.
European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas reacted to Russia's strikes on civilian targets and diplomatic missions, announcing the EU's diplomatic measures and sanctions.
Drawing attention to the nature of the attacks, Kallas said: "Russia's indiscriminate attacks on Kyiv and other regions are not accidental; they are deliberately causing civilian casualties."
Criticizing the attack on the consular building, Kallas stated: "The attack on Latvia's Honorary Consulate in Sloviansk highlights Moscow's complete disregard for international law. We stand in full solidarity with Latvia."
Concluding her statement with concrete measures to be taken against Russia, Kallas said: "In response, we will summon Russia's Ambassador to the EU over today's attacks, and I will propose further listings targeting Russia's military-industrial complex."
