Kazakhstan and Oman discuss economic and investment cooperation
Astana, September 1 (Hibya) - Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Kuantyrov and Oman’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khalifa Al-Harthy discussed the current state and development of cooperation between the two countries, as well as trade, economic and investment relations.
Kazakhstan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Kuantyrov and Oman’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khalifa Al-Harthy met. The talks focused on the current state and prospects of Kazakhstan-Oman cooperation, as well as the development of trade, economic and investment ties.
The parties highlighted the importance of existing bilateral cooperation mechanisms. In this context, they reviewed the outcomes of the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Sultanate of Oman, held in December 2025. The parties also discussed preparations for the second meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission.
The meeting also emphasized the establishment of the Kazakhstan-Oman Business Council and a Joint Investment Fund with the aim of strengthening contacts between the business communities of the two countries, expanding investment cooperation and promoting joint projects.
