Kos: Four accession conferences with Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine and Moldova on agenda
Brussels, October 12 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said that four accession conferences with Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine and Moldova are on the agenda, emphasizing that progress in the enlargement process must go hand in hand with respect for the rule of law and strategic alignment.
European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos said progress was being made in the European Union's enlargement process and announced that four accession conferences with Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine and Moldova were on the agenda.
Speaking ahead of the Foreign Affairs Council meeting, Kos said, "The enlargement process is moving forward. Four accession conferences with Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine and Moldova are on the agenda. Our frontrunners are making progress, and so are we."
Emphasizing that progress must be accompanied by strategic alignment and respect for the rule of law, Kos said, "Our security depends on both."
