Lahbib: A full strike by the Israeli army would be a disaster
Brussels, August 12 (Hibya) - European Union Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, stated that a full strike by the Israeli army would be a disaster and called for a ceasefire.
Commissioner Lahbib said at the informal FAC meeting that she warned again that Gaza is on the brink of famine.
She pointed out that aid is being blocked, air aid is ineffective, and new NGO registration renewal rules risk worsening the crisis.
"A full strike by the Israeli army would be a disaster: mass casualties, collapsing services, and hostages at risk. We call for a ceasefire, the release of hostages, and unhindered humanitarian aid," she said.
