Lahbib: Work on the ground makes a real difference
Brussels, September 22 (Hibya) - European Commission member Hadja Lahbib announced that she held a meeting with the Secretary-General of Doctors Without Borders to discuss crises around the world.
European Commission member Hadja Lahbib made a statement regarding her meeting with the Secretary-General of Doctors Without Borders.
Lahbib said the meeting addressed the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the refugee response in Sudan, and nutrition issues and humanitarian crises in Somalia and Yemen, adding: "We discussed ongoing crises around the world."
Referring to the work of Doctors Without Borders, Lahbib said: "Their tireless work and presence on the ground make a real difference."
