Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

UNRWA stated that the Swedish Government's decision to halt funding in 2025 is disappointing and comes at the worst possible time for Palestinian refugees.

Lazzarini noted that the decision came a day after the UN General Assembly overwhelmingly passed a resolution supporting UNRWA and added:

“Sweden has been a reliable and long-term partner of UNRWA for decades, providing both political and financial support. This is a sad day for Palestinian refugees and the multilateral system led by Sweden. Cutting UNRWA's funding now will undermine decades of Sweden's investments in human development, including denying hundreds of thousands of boys and girls in the region access to education.”

Lazzarini expressed hope that “the Swedish Government will reconsider its decision and continue its long-standing solidarity through UNRWA, investing in both a political solution and the human development of Palestinian refugees.”
