Lipavsky: I propose a solid place in the EU and NATO
Prague, October 3 (Hibya) – Parliamentary elections have begun in the Czech Republic. Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky said that he proposes a solid place in the European Union (EU) and NATO, along with a strong defense.
Parliamentary elections are being held in the Czech Republic. All 200 members of the Chamber of Deputies will be elected, and the leader of the newly formed government will become prime minister.
Speaking about the elections, Foreign Minister Lipavsky said: “I know some of you are still hesitating. For four years, I have conducted foreign policy so that the voice of Czechia is heard – and this has been achieved. Today our partners no longer see us as a burden, but as a country to be taken seriously.”
Stating that everything is now at risk, Lipavsky added: “If the communists and extremists come to power, they will weaken our security and turn Czechia towards the East. I, however, propose a solid place in the EU and NATO and a strong defense. Please go to the polls today and tomorrow. Czechia needs you!”
