Mixed performance in commodity markets
Istanbul, June 24 (Hibya) - Commodity markets showed a mixed performance during the trading day. While gold, oil and energy products declined, silver, copper and soybean prices recorded gains.
Mixed price movements were observed across products traded in global commodity markets.
Among precious metals, gold fell 1.01 percent to $4,107.59 per ounce, while silver rose 0.04 percent to $62.09. Copper prices also increased by 0.42 percent to $6.1508.
In energy markets, selling pressure dominated. U.S. crude oil (WTI) declined 0.92 percent to $72.54 per barrel, while Brent crude fell 0.85 percent to $76.15 per barrel. Natural gas prices lost 0.28 percent and heating oil declined 0.54 percent.
RBOB gasoline contracts dropped 1.48 percent to $2.9153.
In agricultural commodities, mixed movements were recorded. U.S. soybean futures rose 0.16 percent, while U.S. wheat futures fell 0.27 percent.
