Meloni: I hope Rodriguez will lead a new era
Rome, January 9 (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said she is closely monitoring developments in Venezuela and expressed satisfaction over the release of political prisoners, including Italian citizens.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni made a statement regarding diplomatic relations with Venezuela and prisoner exchanges.
Emphasizing her expectations for bilateral relations, Meloni said: “I am closely following the situation in Venezuela and hope that President Delcy Rodriguez will lead a new era of constructive relations between Rome and Caracas.”
Referring to the release of political prisoners, Prime Minister Meloni concluded: “In this context, I express my gratitude for the decision to release political prisoners, including Italians, and I sincerely hope that this process will continue with further steps in the same direction.”
