Rome, Aug. 4 (Hibya) - Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni met with Carabinieri personnel who were on duty during the violent incidents in Val di Susa on July 25. Meloni thanked the security personnel for the courage and professionalism they demonstrated while carrying out their duties.

In a post on social media, Meloni said she appreciated the courage, professionalism and sense of duty shown by the security forces working to ensure the safety of Italians.
Meloni said: “I thanked the women and men of the Armed Forces for the courage, professionalism and sense of duty they demonstrate every day while protecting the safety of Italians.”
Meloni wished a speedy recovery to the security personnel injured in the clashes and expressed her support on behalf of herself and the Italian government.
“Those who serve the state and protect citizens will never be left alone,” Meloni said.
