Meloni: Some Italian parties want Europe to punish their own nation
Rome, 18 October (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that some Italian parties, in an attempt to politically hit the government, are in fact asking Europe to punish their own nation and citizens.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni announced that PD, M5S, and AVS have submitted a query to the European Commission, asking if they are considering starting an infringement procedure due to Italy's migration agreement with Albania.
Meloni said: "Some Italian parties, aiming to politically hit this government, are in fact asking Europe to punish their own nation and citizens. This is a shame that cannot be ignored".
