Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni emphasized that the country has achieved the highest employment rate since the Millennium and the lowest unemployment rate since the launch of the first iPhone. She stated that the latest data from the National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) for the third quarter of 2024 shows that the employment rate has risen to 62.4%, and unemployment has decreased by 0.6% compared to the previous quarter, continuing its downward trend.

Meloni expressed particular pride in the fact that during the term of the first government led by a woman, the women's employment rate reached an all-time high, and the number of employed women surpassed the ten million mark for the first time.

She also highlighted the strong confidence that investors and markets have in the Italian system, saying: "We have set a record in demand for government bonds, the spread is much lower than when we took office, the Italian stock market has reached record levels, and rating agencies have improved their assessments."
