Metsola: The Romanian people can trust Europe
Brussels, May 19 (Hibya) – European Parliament President Roberta Metsola held a phone call with Romania’s newly elected President Nicușor Dan.
During the call, European Parliament President Roberta Metsola congratulated Nicușor Dan on his election as Romania’s new president.
Metsola said she was moved to see European Union flags proudly waving across the country after the election results were announced, and added: “The Romanian people can trust Europe. I will repeat this message during my visit to Romania this week.”
She emphasized Romania’s strong ties with Europe and expressed her belief that the country’s place within the EU will grow even stronger.
