After meeting EU Council President Antonio Costa in Brussels, Milatovic said in a statement that bridges had been built as the process nears its end.

Milatovic said: “There is no room for relaxation—only unity, greater focus, work and responsibility.”

Recalling that Montenegro will host the EU–Western Balkans Summit in June 2026 for the first time in the country, Milatovic stressed that the summit must be shaped by concrete, results-oriented steps.

President Milatovic stated: “This must result in concrete steps that we can show both to citizens and to the European Union.”

Milatovic added: “The message is simple: the finish line is ahead of us. It requires discipline, commitment and tangible results.”
