Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Military leader Min Aung Hlaing had earlier rejected ceasefire calls from armed rebel groups to allow aid to reach the affected regions.

Three armed groups called for a temporary halt to the fighting after the official death toll rose to 2,700 and hundreds were reported missing.

Despite this, the army continued bombing the affected areas, with Min Aung Hlaing stating they would “continue to take necessary security measures.”

The UN stated that the earthquake has further worsened “an already dire crisis” in Myanmar, which is in the midst of a civil war.

The quake was felt hundreds of miles away in neighboring countries such as Thailand, where the death toll reached 21.

Rescue teams in both countries are still searching for survivors, but hopes fade as more bodies are pulled from the rubble.

According to the junta, 2,886 people were killed in the Myanmar quake, 4,639 injured, and 373 remain missing.
