Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a statement ahead of his meeting with United States President Donald Trump.

Netanyahu said this would be his eighth meeting with Trump since the latter was elected to a second presidential term, noting that he has met Trump more often than any other international leader.

He said this was both a great honor and a significant responsibility for him.

Netanyahu stated that many issues would be discussed during the meeting, saying: "We will address all the items on the agenda, with Iran at the top of the list. Our objective is clear: to safeguard Israel's security, strengthen its power, and expand the circle of peace around us."

Emphasizing that he had traveled to Washington to secure Israel's security and future, Netanyahu added that he would also pay his respects to U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham during the visit.

Describing Graham as "a true friend of the State of Israel and one of Israel's greatest friends of all time," Netanyahu said he believed these sentiments reflected those of all Israeli citizens.

Netanyahu concluded his remarks by saying: "With God's help, we will do it and we will succeed."
