Pakistan and China reaffirm commitment to strengthening strategic cooperation
ISLAMABAD, July 16 (Hibya) - Pakistani Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) in Shanghai.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between Pakistan and China and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening their "All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership."
The two ministers also reviewed support for high-quality development under the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), as well as expanding cooperation in trade, investment, science and technology, the digital economy, and artificial intelligence.
The parties also exchanged views on regional and global developments and agreed to maintain close coordination on issues of mutual interest. The meeting also underscored the importance of strategic cooperation in innovation-driven development and emerging technologies.
