Palestinian Foreign Ministry calls on UNRWA
Ramallah, February 19 (Hibya) – The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has called for deterrent international measures to protect the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
In a statement, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry emphasized the need for international measures to protect UNRWA.
The ministry stated that it is continuously monitoring the occupation's war against UNRWA in coordination with all international parties, including the UN Secretary-General, the UN Security Council, and UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini.
The statement read: "This issue was the subject of in-depth dialogue and discussion during the latest meeting in Cairo between the Minister of State for Foreign and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Farsin Aghabekian Shahin, and Mr. Lazzarini. The ministry continues to track the transformation of international consensus on rejecting the occupation’s decision into practical steps to force them to retreat."
