Palestinian Foreign Ministry slams Orban over Netanyahu reception
Ramallah, April 3 (Hibya) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its objection to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s reception of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during his visit to Hungary.
The ministry condemned Orban’s reception of Netanyahu—who is under an arrest warrant by the International Criminal Court—as an act against international justice and law, done at the cost of Palestinian civilians’ blood.
In a statement, the ministry said the visit comes at a time when the Israeli occupation is escalating its war of destruction, displacement, and annexation against the Palestinian people, and it believes such gestures encourage Netanyahu and his government to continue committing crimes and undermining international justice and accountability.
“The ministry calls on the Hungarian government to abandon this policy and to comply with international law, EU policies, international legitimacy resolutions, and the ICC’s decision to arrest Netanyahu and bring him to justice immediately.”
