President Erdoğan held a phone call with his Egyptian counterpart Sisi
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a telephone conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
According to a statement by the Directorate of Communications, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had a telephone conversation with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
During the call, bilateral relations between Türkiye and Egypt, as well as regional and global issues, were discussed.
President Erdoğan emphasized the importance of coordination between Türkiye and Egypt on regional matters and stated that the genocide that resumed after Israel violated the ceasefire in Gaza must be stopped immediately. He noted that cooperation between Türkiye and Egypt would be beneficial in achieving a lasting ceasefire and peace.
During the call, Erdoğan reiterated Türkiye's continued support for the Palestinian people, emphasized that the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Port of El Arish would continue, and expressed gratitude for Egypt’s support. He also extended his greetings to Sisi for the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
