Qatar's Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, met with French President's Special Envoy for Lebanon Jean-Yves Le Drian, who was visiting Qatar.

According to a statement by Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting addressed bilateral cooperation, ways to support and strengthen that cooperation, the latest developments in Lebanon, and issues of mutual interest.

Al Khulaifi reaffirmed Qatar's steadfast support for the Lebanese people and their aspirations for development and prosperity. Emphasizing that Lebanon's stability is important for regional stability, Al Khulaifi stressed the importance of respecting the country's full sovereignty over its territory.
