Qatar's Prime Minister’s Advisor and official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Majid bin Mohammed Al Ansari, stated that the State of Qatar, along with its mediation partners Egypt and the United States, reaffirms its commitment to supporting mediation efforts to launch the second phase of ceasefire talks in the Gaza Strip.

Speaking at the ministry’s weekly media briefing, Dr. Al Ansari highlighted that daily contacts with all relevant parties are ongoing and that in recent days, several delegations have arrived in Doha for comprehensive discussions. He noted that these negotiations have not yet officially commenced.

Al Ansari described the recent statements by the U.S. President’s Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, and the Israeli Foreign Minister regarding the matter as encouraging and supportive.
