Qatar: We are among the top five contributors to OCHA
Doha, December 14 (Hibya) – Qatar announced that it is one of the world’s top five donor countries to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) for 2025, with contributions exceeding $1.528 billion.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Qatar ranks among the top five donor countries providing humanitarian assistance to OCHA in 2025, with total contributions surpassing $1.528 billion.
Qatar’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, said in her address to the UN General Assembly: “The State of Qatar is proud to be among the top five contributors to OCHA in the field of humanitarian assistance.”
Sheikha Alya emphasized that this contribution reflects Qatar’s strong commitment to humanitarian work, noting that the issue is being discussed at a time when humanitarian conditions in many parts of the world—especially in the Gaza Strip—have deteriorated to unprecedented levels due to Israeli attacks.
